It Only Took 14 Years.

<– My Sister.

Yesterday I picked my sister Emily up from school because she had to take an exam after school. Our conversation started like this:

Emily: So, Yesterday, I was doing some thinking… mostly just yesterday. The thought just popped in my head.

Me: Yeah?

Emily: Well, I think I want to change myself. Like, on the outside.

Me: What do you mean?

Emily: I think I want to start dressing and being more Feminine.

Me: (Trying so hard not to smile too big) Really??

Emily: Yeah.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! This has been an answer to my prayers! Many prayers ! This is amazing. My sister has refused to shop in the girls dept. since she was 5 years old (she is 14 now). I am not only happy for selfish reasons, but she is a beautiful girl and person. She is wonderful. I am excited to see her grow in this way, grow into the beautiful woman God has made her. I pray that God will use this change in her life for his glory (salvation please?!!) and I hope that I will be able to help guide her and teach her and encourage her…  We can even share shoes!!! =)

Ps. Keep on DL. She will kill me.

  1. Janet,

Praise the lord! Keep praying for her. I’ve recently had my own two sisters start coming to Grace. Jessica, a former atheist, has even enrolled my nephew in Crosscurrent. That was her on the balcony with me. As for my blog, I haven’t had a whole lot to say. Particularly, after the one got me into so much trouble with the ladies. 🙂
