I hear something in my sleep. What is that? Crap! Lucy is crying. What time is it? Ugh, 5am. I really don’t want to get out of bed, maybe she will stop. Lord, please let her stop, please make her stop, please make her stop…
She doesn’t stop.
Ryan, let’s Rock- Paper- Scissors to see who goes to check on her. There is no response. FINE! I’ll do it.
I go into Lucy’s room and decide that I am not going to bother with that sleep training stuff, I will just rock her back to sleep, that works like a charm… everytime.
It didn’t work like a charm.
She is whining and squirming around like crazy. Child. It is 5am! There is no waaay you are ready to be awake for the day.
Lucy, tell Mommy what you want! Tell Mommy what you want (since she can talk ya know).
Well, that little girl looked right at me and pointed towards the hallway, so, I walked her out into the hallway. Then, she pointed toward the kitchen so I took her to the kitchen. Next, she pointed to her bottles on the drying rack.
“Oh, you want some milk?”
She smiled and did her really cute baby sign for “more”.
So, Mommy made Lucy a bottle of warm milk. She sucked it down and passed out.
It worked like a charm.
Goodbye 5am!
