RUBBA-DUB-DUB

I am the worst bathtub cleaner ever. I have issues and instead of getting advice, i just let it sit there. Well, it has come to the point where I am in desperate need of some help. Maybe you can help me?

First, I really only think about how dirty my tub is when I get in it. Ryan is so kind, he could really care less. I work full time and have 4/7 nights of the week booked up. Not good excuses I know, but when it comes to cleaning, though I clean the bathroom regularly, the shower is the last thing on the list… if it even makes the list.

Like I said before, I really only notice when I am in the shower that it needs cleaning. I certainly do not want to clean it when I get out of the shower because I am now clean. I don’t want to scrub and sweat and get all of those chemicals all over after I just got all fresh! I don’t want to clean it before I get in the shower because I just spent all of that time cleaning it and now I am going to get in an mess it all up. Nothing is more frustrating than new water spots after you just shined all of the hardware =(

So, what I am thinking is… I will clean it while I am in the shower. Kill two birds with one stone. My only concern is.. you know how all of that steam accumulates when you are in the shower? DO you think that if I use bathtub cleaner, such as FANTASTIC, the steam and the chemicals will mix and make me sick… or other things that happen when you are cleaning and stuck in a room with “harmful fumes”? Hmm. I just can’t bring myself to do it. That is, unless any of you think that I will be fine =)

If you have any other suggestions or ideas as to how to battle the bathtub, I would love your thoughts!!

  1. lol. personally, i clean it in the evening if I have some free time because then all of Eric’s hair is gone and it looks nice at least for a few hours. I wouldn’t do it in the shower mainly because I have to take really fast showers before the kids get up and I don’t have time, but also, it’s MY time in the shower. Selfish? Maybe. I think you just come to the realization that it’s a shower and it will have water spots on the hardware…as long as it’s clean it’s okay 🙂 I mean, who else is really looking at your shower?

  2. lol Janet you make me laugh 🙂 I am currently doing the cleaning of bathrooms in my fam’s house. I am not sure if I would clean the shower while taking one but if you did you could always get a natural cleaner (i.e I know that melaluca is one company with natural bathroom supplies and I’m sure there are others) without the chemicals. That way you wouldn’t have to worry about any strange stuff.

  3. I use a daily spray.
I still have to give it the ‘ol scrub every now and again, but I’ve found that the after the shower spray is very helpful to combat residue.

Tilex makes one, Target has a store brand, and Method has one.
I prefer Method because I like the scent and some Targets sell a refill for it.

It seems to last me a while too.
