SHE DID IT!

She did it, she did, she did it, yay.

Lucy crawled for the first time this morning… woohoo! I know she is so excited because she has been really wanting to move for weeks now and get soo frustrated with herself when she can’t. Cheerio’s did the trick. There isn’t anything Lucy wont do for food. Boy oh boy is that the truth!

Lucy Moosey (her new nickname for the Birmingham’s) had her 9 month check-up today. She gained 3lbs since her last visit… weighing in at 17lb 9oz and grew an inch and a half. She is officially in the 50th percentile for height, weight and head circumference (yea, her head isn’t too big anymore). Nothing else really to report… she is right on schedule with all of her physical and mental developments and had her last vaccine. What a trooper.

So, obviously we are now moving forward into the next size clothing. It is a sad and exciting time for me… sad to pack up all of the cute clothes I have come to love, but also excited for all of the other new really cute clothes she gets to wear soon. After 9 months I have absolutely no clothes for her to wear so we will def be hitting up all of the fall consignment sales… oh how I love them.

Lucy is sooo yappy! I think she gets it from me. I am a talker… most of you have probably never heard Ryan talk. lol. Actually, My Mom told me that I was a late talker but once I started, I didn’t stop. So true. I love love listening to her babble. Goodness it is sooo cute. A few weeks ago she was actually whistling in her crib… she is so talented. Ha-Ha.

Lucy still has a tiny touch of Thrush (gr). It doesn’t really bother her that much, she just has to take some yucky medicine but she doesn’t really mind it. I on the other hand, am going to have to stop nursing. I am sad about it because, well I can’t really put a finger on why I would be sad, it is just such a bonding thing. Lucy doesn’t mind as long as she is getting fed, so I am happy she isn’t really attached, I think it would make it a lot hard for me to make the change if she was attached… thankfully she isn’t. She is eating LOTS of new foods these days. Like, real table food. It is actually pretty cool because she can eat some of the same things we eat for dinner and we can eat together instead of one of us feeding her before or after we eat.. that is nice, family dinners. Well, except she can’t talk so if we don’t give her more food when she is finished with what is on our tray, boy is she impatient!!! haha… That she gets from her Father.

Man does it stink not having a camera!!! AHHHH!!! I am missing out on sooo many special memories. I have no new pictures to post and I am so sad that she is going to be crawling and I don’t have anything to use to document it! OOOh well… there could be worse things I guess.

Off topic random thoughts… Wedding Season is upon us! We have 5 weddings we will be attending this year! Crazy! We sold my car! Ryan’s Softball Team came in 9th place out of 52 teams this weekend at their National Tournament in OC, that was exciting. My back had been really bothering me… know any good misuses (sp?)? Have I mentioned that I hate having hardwood floors? Mary is in NC for two weeks training… she has spoiled me with company and now she is gone again- boo.
